Best meal i had in the midwest! Service was so quick and friendly. Food tasted so authentic and was just simply amazing. Flavors had the perfect balance and tasted like a very expensive meal. Perfect char on the beef, perfect acidity with the onions and fish sauce lime. Ugh everything was amazing. Desserts were lacking in comparison but still pretty tasty. Chicken meal was extra crunchy, thai chili wasn't too sweet. Couldn't have asked for a better meal.

I still love it here. I come here at least once a month. It's just the best. My favorites will always be E4 and N4/N6.

How in the world have I missed this place for so long? No idea how I haven't been to JJ sooner. My friend and I went on a whim and wow, it was excellent. It's a fun, small space with great energy. I love the vibe. Service was attentive, friendly, and full of good advice. The food was outstanding. The best chive dumplings I've ever had, really good chicken satay, and our mains were great as well. Super flavorful, super fresh. All of the little sauces we encountered were fantastic and fresh. Portions were large and seemed pretty fairly priced to me for the quality. Definitely more expensive than a lot of Thai spots but overall the quality and attention to detail was worth it. Can't wait to try many more dishes on my next visit!!

One of the best Thai restaurants I've tried in Chicago. I came here to eat with a friend on a Wednesday night, an hour before close. The small interior was packed still! There's wooden tables and benches for the casual street food vibe. Their menu is unique and different than the typical Thai restaurants I've tried before. I ordered the E3 Gai Yang Grilled Marinated Whole Chicken. The spicy sauce came on the side in a cute container. The chicken was flavorful and tender too!! The servers were kind and quick too!! I definitely want to come back and try more of the menu.

Super small hole in the wall restaurant. We came here in a group of 4 and had a small wait before we got seated on a Saturday night. The place was small and we sat right next to the kitchen. We got the tiger cry, crispy squid, crispy chicken basil and Thai traditional noodle soup. The crispy chicken basil was the star of the night. The chicken was so flavorful and crispy it went really well with rice. The traditional noodle soup was on the blander side but it feels really clean. We also got the Thai coconut pudding and baked Thai custard. Both were really good and had a really strong coconut fragrant which we really liked.

Super yummy Thai place! We went on a Saturday afternoon and there was no wait. Service was super nice and friendly and the shop was a small comfortable place. Everything we ordered was so good. My favorite was the coconut jelly dessert- it's warm and sweet, complimented the rest of our meal super well.

Not your usual Thai restaurant. The menu doesn't have many of the old standbys that I'm accustomed to ordering, so I went with simple appetizers. The chicken satay was very good, with perfectly cooked chicken and a rich, decadent peanut sauce. They serve it with toast, which I've never seen. Altogether a satisfying app. I also tried the Tom Yum Koong Nam Khon, the traditional hot and sour soup. This soup has excellent flavors, but I wanted more shrimp and mushrooms; the broth to solids ratio was a little off for my taste. The broth, however, was very good. I will return to try more of their unusual menu. The space is comfy and charming, and the servers are friendly and helpful. I'll be back to try more of the menu.
